One bike to rule them all?
Life was pretty simple back when I started riding and racing bikes in the early 80’s. Before the internet you actually had to go to a physical location called “bike shop” and talk (with your mouth) to humans that would help you figure out what the best ride is for you. The choices were pretty limited, it was either a commuter bike to run around town, your fancy pants ten speed road racer, track or cyclo-cross bike. Kickstarter update #19
Just a quick update. Our tool officially got crated and shipped out.
The whole kitten-caboodle weighed in at 9000 lbs. (the hot runner and gate valves system made her gain some weight)
The boat trip should take about 20 days and then it has to go thru customs and get delivered to our manufacturer in New York. If all goes well we have our tool in our neck of the woods in 4 weeks. (very happy we got this done before the Chinese New Year, mayor delay avoided)
It's ALIVE !!! Tooling update.
I have finally received the news that I have been waiting for. Our tooling partner tested the mold successfully. This is what they told me: "the tool is running well and is filling the part easily". I added this image to show you how I really feel about this tooling news flash. They are going to add some more ribbing and we still have to complete the tools for the caps/plugs to conceal the screw heads and to make the little face-plates. We are getting really close to production. Here are some images of the test shots. No color added....
