Since 2013, DaHanger has been a one-man show, dedicated to creating top-quality products right here in the USA. The past two years, though, have been especially tough. With global steel price shifts, new tariffs, and rising costs, my ability to keep manufacturing in-house has been strained. I’m currently out of inventory and can’t pay myself from the business anymore.
As I regroup, I’m focusing on my next chapter with my real estate business at CatskillsNomad. If you're looking to buy or sell a home, I’d love for you to follow along over there. If you have questions about remaining stock, feel free to email me at jurgen@dahanger.co. I’m so grateful for everyone who supported this Made-in-USA dream, and I hope, when the time is right, I can return to production.
Unless things change drastically for small businesses, we won't be back in the foreseeable future. If you have any questions or need repairs/replacement parts, you can still reach me at jurgen@dahanger.co. I truly appreciate everyone who supported this Made-in-USA endeavor. Thank you for being part of our journey.
Furthermore, buying locally made products often means buying from small, independent businesses, which can offer unique, high-quality products that are not available from large, mass-produced brands. This can help to promote diversity and individuality, and can support the local culture and heritage.
Can I hang a lightweight bike without hitting studs?
The answer is: MAYBE. We recommend getting two screws of the pedal hook into a stud when dealing with a hollow core wall (like Sheetrock), but for lightweight bikes like these, everything can be installed with the supplied mollies, if done correctly.
